Obituary for James Lee Green

James Lee Green, 62, of Decatur passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at his residence. James was born on November 27, 1956 in Brownsville, TN the son of Floyd and Emma Green. 

 James worked many years as forklift driver.  He enjoyed fishing and playing pool.  He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls fan.  He especially enjoyed to BBQ and would often say he was “THE BEST” on the grill. 


James was loved by all and will be missed by all! He leaves to cherish his memories; his longtime companion, Debra Vinson of Decatur, IL; brother, Randy Green of Decatur; sister, Burnett Green of Decatur along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Floyd Green, Jr. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Velasco and the Cancer Care Institute and DMH Hospice.
