Obituary for Mardena L. Taylor

Mardena Lynn Taylor, 61 of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on April 15, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois after an extended illness.  

Mardena was born in Decatur Illinois to the late Minnie E. Taylor and Clarence Taylor on July 31, 1957. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Taylor, Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  

Although Mardena struggled with chronic illness throughout his life, he inspired those around him.  He was loved and cherished by many.  

Mardena is survived by his partner, Dorothy Carter of Decatur, Illinois; his son, Markeith Taylor of Decatur, Illinois; his father, Clarence Taylor of Decatur, Illinois; his aunts, Leanna Taylor, Denelle Taylor, Patricia Taylor, and Sophia Jackson, all of Decatur, Illinois; four brothers, Kinney L. Jackson, Vinson Taylor, Leaunvel Taylor, and Eric E. (Velma) Taylor, all of Decatur, Illinois; three sisters, Sameerah K. Rashid of Atlanta, Georgia, Conchita Dula of Toledo, Ohio, and Daniella Lambright of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
