Obituary for Ruth Bishop

Our beloved Ruth Bishop departed this life on Friday, January 4, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.   She lived a life of longevity which fulfilled 95 years. 

Ruth was born on July 15, 1923 in the area of Ripley, Tennessee the daughter of Sam and Naveda Conner.  She was married to BC Bishop whom preceded her in death. 

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a disciple of the Main Street Church under the leadership of Overseer Thomas Walker. She was the oldest church mother at Main Street Church. 

Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  She loved the outdoors.  She loved to go fishing and found relaxation just sitting on her porch. 

Ruth leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughters: Dawn Bishop and Teresa (Abraham Davis) Snow; grandchildren: Frederick Hannah, Tonya (William) Oldham, Shontae (Clarence) Ballard, Undra Ingram, Annette (Marvis) Parker and Tameka Jones; 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 great great grandchildren
